Ready to Launch
Six new Canadian stars are about to be launched into the music industry thanks to music mogul Scott Borchetta and his gang of celebrity mentors. National treasure Shania Twain and super-producer busbee were on hand during this week’s premiere of talent search The Launch to help select a lucky unsigned artist to record a new original song. Logan Staats, the 29-year-old edgy indie artist from Six Nations of the Grand River, Ont., earned the right to record a new track titled The Lucky Ones after impressing the judges with his raw intensity. “I’ve been waiting for this. I’ve been waiting for someone to hear my music that can propel it to the next level,” Logan said. His stripped-back version of the single of The Lucky Ones is currently the number one song on iTunes Canada.
